Type B Electrical Protection Pack for 11 kW three-phase charging station.

The following electrical protections must be connected on a dedicated circuit.

Protections required for a three-phase connection:
- Residual current device 63A - Type B - 3P+N - 30mA
- Circuit breaker 20A Curve C - 3P+N - breaking capacity 10kA

1/ Type B - 63A - three-phase residual current device
The residual current device Type B - 63A - 3P+N - 30mA is essential for any charging station installation.

It continuously monitors the incoming and outgoing current, and opens the circuit as soon as the difference exceeds 30mA. This function ensures protection against the risk of electric shock.

Compatibility with all three-phase stations
This residual current device is suitable for all three-phase charging stations available on the market with a charging current between 1 and 20A, including those not fitted with a DC leakage current detector.

If your station is already equipped with a DC leakage current detector, a less expensive Type A three-phase residual current device will be sufficient.

It must always be paired with a circuit breaker.

Installation
It must be connected on a circuit exclusively dedicated to the charging station, downstream of the main residual current device in the electrical panel.

The station must have its own dedicated circuit, with its own circuit breaker and its own residual current device.

2/ Schneider 20A three-phase circuit breaker
The Schneider Acti9 iC magneto-thermal circuit breaker - 3P+N - 20A - Curve C is essential for any charging station installation. It protects the installation against overvoltages and short circuits.

Its Curve C is particularly suited to high-current equipment such as charging stations. Its high breaking capacity and fast disconnection guarantee safety, reliability and long service life.

Compatibility
This circuit breaker is designed for a station set between 6A and 16A.

It must always be paired with the residual current device.

Installation
It must be mounted in the electrical panel, on the dedicated residual current device circuit for the charging station. The station must have its own dedicated circuit, with its own circuit breaker and its own residual current device.

Three-phase installation:
- Residual current device: Type B, 30mA, 4P, max. 63A (a Type A, F or Hpi is sufficient, instead of Type B, if the charging station is equipped with a DC leakage current detector)
- Circuit breaker: Minimum Curve C, minimum breaking capacity 3kA, 4P or 3P+N, 16 to 40A (choose 3 to 8A more than the rated current of the charging station)

Cable cross-sections for connections, according to French standards NF C15-100 and NF C15-722:
- Wallbox charging station 16A or 16A socket, cable length less than 100m: cable cross-section 2.5mm²
- Wallbox charging station 32A, cable length less than 100m: cable cross-section 10mm²
