Schneider Electrical Protection Pack for JUPITER EV charger – dual power outlet – three-phase up to 22 kW + single-phase 3.6 kW
The following electrical protections are mandatory and must be installed on a dedicated line.
Protections to install for three-phase connection of JUPITER dual outlet:
- Residual current device 63A - Type A or Hpi - 3P+N - 30mA
- Circuit breaker 50A or 63A Curve C - 3P+N - Breaking capacity 10kA
1/ Schneider 63A Three-Phase RCD
Schneider Acti9 iID Residual Current Device Type A - 3P+N - 63A - 30mA is essential for any JUPITER dual outlet three-phase installation.
It compares incoming and outgoing current and cuts the circuit if the difference exceeds 30mA. This function protects people from electric shocks.
It must be paired with a circuit breaker.
Installation
It must be installed on a dedicated line specifically for the charging station, after the main RCD of the electrical panel.
The charging station must have its own dedicated line, with its own circuit breaker and RCD.

2/ Schneider Three-Phase Circuit Breaker 50A or 63A
Schneider Acti9 iC Magnetic-Thermal Circuit Breaker - 3P+N - 50A or 63A - Curve C is essential for any charger installation. It protects the system against overcurrents and short circuits.
Its curve C is suited for high-current devices like EV chargers. Its high breaking capacity and fast trip mechanism ensure safety, reliability, and long service life.
It must be paired with a residual current device (compatible with Schneider Acti9 iID).
Installation
It must be installed in the electrical panel, on the RCD dedicated to the charging station. The charging station must have its own dedicated line, with its own circuit breaker and RCD.
